Sikh Sports Association USA, a non-profit organization, is proudly host major tournament every year around Bay area, California .

Basketball Rules :

All rules are subject to change by the committee that is conducting this tournament. The Sikh Sports Association and its committee will determine the final outcome of any disputes during these games. REMEMBER sportsmanship will be expected and enforced at all times. Any player or team that is exhibiting unsportsmanlike conduct may be ejected and disqualified from the tournament. All remaining games will be forfeited.

# Rosters names (first and last) must be submitted prior to the team’s first games.
# Teams are not allowed to add or change their rosters.
# Absolutely no changes!
# Identifications may be requested any time to verify names on roster sheet
# Any violations to above mention can result in forfeit and disqualification from the games.

All U14 (Under 14) and U16 players must have identification that shows proof of age. For example, copy of birth certificates, passports or other id’s that clearly has a birth date on it.

All teams must have same colored jerseys with numbers that are clearly identifiable by the referees. If you are taping numbers please make sure they are duct taped. Permanent markers are acceptable.

All schedules posted are estimated times. It is each team’s responsibility to be present at least 20 minutes prior to the posted schedules. If a team is not on the court at the designated time, they will have 5 minutes grace period only or otherwise forfeit! Teams must field a minimum of 4 rostered players otherwise they must forfeit.

Basic tournament rules:

All teams must have same colored jerseys with numbers, not taped or written
Rental Jerseys are available at the tournament
Only two Non-Indian players allowed to play on the court at one time
2 - 18 minute halves
3 timeouts per game, timeouts may be carried over to OT
Last 2 minutes of the 2nd half will be stop time (time stops on all ref whistles)
In the event of OT - 3 minutes will be played in OT
5 personal fouls
7 team fouls - 1 and 1 bonus free throws
10 team fouls – double bonus free throws

Open division teams’ playoffs will be determined by the following method:

1. Win – Loss

2. Point Differential

3. Committee to determine method of further tie breaker if necessary

The Sikh Sports Association committee reserves the right to make any necessary changes at anytime during the tournament.
